“My husband and I booked Courtney for our wedding at Kingscote Barn a couple of years before our date (13/04/23). We initially found her on Instagram and saw that she was recommended by our venue. From the very first contact on the phone, Courtney was absolutely lovely. We knew immediately after speaking with her that she was the photographer for us, she was so chatty and really put us at ease.
We first met Courtney in person at our pre-wedding shoot, about a year and a half before our wedding. The photos were great, and we used them on our wedding website and save the dates. Although it was about an hour of photos, which sounds very intense, the time flew and we both felt at ease. We got the photos back after a week. Before the wedding, she would answer any emails quickly.
On the day of our wedding, it was lovely to see Courtney again. After getting to know her at the pre-wedding shoot, it didn't feel awkward at all, more like seeing a friend! (Highly recommend doing a shoot before the wedding!!).
So many guests commented on how friendly she was, which I think says a lot about her. We also booked Debbie as a second shooter, and again we had lots of people say how lovely she is. Thanks Debbie for showing the groomsmen how to attach a buttonhole, they couldn't have done it without you!
On your wedding day, there is so much going on, but Courtney worked incredibly well with our caterer to ensure that everything was going to plan and that she got the shots she needed. She gave prompts as required, and even when we forgot to do something (like remembering to look at her, or calling her over at the right moment) she would just work with it. Courtney also captured so many moments that I didn't even realise she was there for - a real skill to be able to blend in like that!
Getting some sneak peak photos back the day after the wedding was amazing. We sat as a family having breakfast and looked over them together. The photos were beautiful, and it meant we could relive the day.
We got our full gallery back after about a week. We wanted natural photos, and that is exactly what we got. We have so many beautiful candid photos of our guests taken by Courtney and Debbie, and the photos relay the emotions and events of the day. They took lots of pictures of the children present, which will be really special for our family to keep. The couple shots were beautiful, how Courtney managed to get so many nice photos when there was so much crying is beyond me!
There are also so many photos of all of the details of the day, including the decor and flowers. Having spent so many hours over almost 3 years, designing stationery and planning with suppliers, I was so happy to have these to enjoy. It's lovely to be able to send them photos of their work too!
Courtney was incredibly professional, adaptable, kind, talented, friendly and responsive. The wedding honestly wouldn't have been the same without her!”

“We can't express enough gratitude to Courtney for the incredible shots she had captured for mine and my husband's wedding in April 2023 at Kingscote Barn. From the moment we met her in our consultation Zoom call, we knew she was the right lady for the job!
We booked in to have a pre wedding shoot in October 2022 which allowed us to meet in person and to run through some of the shots we would take on the day. We instantly felt comfortable around her, as if we'd known her for years!
On our wedding day, Courtney put everyone at complete ease and was so wonderful with all of our guests throughout the day, in particular our little nieces and nephews. She was so calm, kind and patient and a real joy to have with us on our day.
Despite having some rain and dark skies, she worked around this and managed to capture some truly beautiful shots, in between the showers!
