A typical wedding day and my style and approach..

 MY STYLE & APPROACH

I would describe my photography style as fresh, contemporary, natural and bright. Capturing everything as it happens naturally. I have been told on many occasions that I put people at ease and I am forever getting asked by guests how many years I have been friends with the bride & groom for. I offer a no cheese, no dictation and no interference approach to your wedding photography. It's your wedding day and you should choose exactly how you want it to run, I am there simply to record the day as it unfolds in a relaxed, reportage manner. I am more than happy to simply blend into the background, mingle with you and your guests and capture your day truthfully as it happens. I can step in when needed and help out with wedding hints/ tips and guidance on those romantic couple shots, but most of the time you won't realise I am there.

A TYPICAL DAY..

Generally, I arrive a couple of hours prior to the ceremony for the bridal preparations to photograph the details; the dress, your shoes etc and all the fun in the morning! Then I will join the guests and groom half an hour before the ceremony to get people arriving and the groom waiting. Your arrival & the ceremony will be photographed in a discreet manor. After you have signed the dotted line, then we can go onto your group shots and those lovely confetti photographs. I never leave you or your guests bored with hours of standing around, instead the formals take around 20 minutes and I am always happy for guests to take photographs and join in.

I then mingle with the guests getting natural images, as people enjoy drinks and canapés. Once you have had time to chat with your guests, I then take you off for 10 minutes or so to get some romantic couple shots.. This is usually as your guests are being sat down for the wedding breakfast (so they don't notice you are missing!) Then the rest of the afternoon including breakfast entrance, speeches, cake cut and first dance are all photographed. I always finish a few songs after your first dance, once I am happy that I have got images of most people up and dancing!!

HOW IT WORKS..

A couple of weeks before the big day, I will meet up with you both to discuss your plans and timings. On the day,  I then know exactly where you will be at the right time to ensure I never miss anything.

After the wedding, I start the retouching of images whilst you are on honeymoon! I always like to pop a sneak peek over to you within this time and your wooden USB of edited images, will be sent to your home within 2 - 3 weeks! If you have ordered an album, we will discuss the design and this will be then delivered to you within a further 3 weeks.

My business is full time and I am shooting all year round - I take great pride in my business and therefore only take on a maximum of 45 weddings per year to ensure that each couple gets the best experience.

Also, a quick note about retouching - I like to do very minimal alterations to photographs. No drastic changes just a little tweak here and there to make images really "pop" and look clean, modern and fresh and get rid of any distractions and blemishes.

I would love to chat weddings with you and help in any way I can!
