Gloucestershire Wedding Photographer - FAQ

Before booking your wedding photographer, there are many things to consider and questions to ask! Below, I have included my frequently asked questions which will hopefully help Gloucestershire brides and grooms who may have any queries;

When should I book?

My advice is to book your photographer as soon as you have the wedding date ready. I only photograph one wedding per day and I treat all bookings on a first come first served basis.

Are there any hidden costs involved?

No, the final quote is the price you pay.

Are your prices inclusive of VAT?

I’m not VAT registered, so the price quoted is the final price.

Are you insured?

Yes. All my equipment is insured and I have public liability insurance. (A copy of the policy is available on request)

Where will you travel to shoot a wedding?

I am based in the Cotswolds and happy to cover Gloucestershire and surrounding counties including Wiltshire, Somerset etc. I am also available in Lincolnshire and the surrounding counties, due to being based there for 5 years and still being recommended by many venues there.

Please just ask & I shall be happy to give you a quote including travel.

Do you do any family group photographs?

Yes of course. I appreciate these are the very special photographs however I do like to limit the time to just 20 minutes or half an hour, so you and your guests can enjoy being together and celebrating!

When can we see our wedding photographs?

Your images will be sent to you as retouched, hi-res files within 2 – 3 weeks! I don’t like to keep you waiting. By the time you get your lovely package in the post, your photos will also be uploaded onto your own private gallery, ready to share with your loved ones!

How long do you keep the files?

Your photographs are backed up and kept very safe for at least 12 months after your wedding date. I provide the images to you on a USB within 2- 3 weeks after you wedding, so please keep this safe and make additional copies for your own back up purposes! Having said this, I still have copies of nearly 100 weddings, and not yet deleted one!

How long do you stay on the wedding day?

As long as you wish for me to be there!

Would you like us to provide a meal for you?

With longer wedding bookings, a hot meal would be very gratefully received!

Can we make prints from the disc of hi-res images?

Of course you can!

Do we own the copyright for our photographs?

With your wedding images you have a print licence, allowing you to print and use your images as you wish ie; send images / upload to facebook! The only thing you can’t do with your images, which copyright would allow, is to edit or sell your photographs which I hope you wouldn’t wish to do anyway!

How much deposit do you need?

A deposit of £300 is required to book in your date, with the balance of the fee payable one month before the wedding.

We would like an engagement shoot, where can we go?

Almost anywhere! I would always suggest choosing a place which means something special to you both.

Do we get a web gallery?

Yes! All your photographs will be placed into your very own (password protected) online gallery where your friends and family can see them and order prints.

What cameras do you use?

Canon!! I have the 5D Mk II and 5D, with lots of heavy and beautiful lenses!

When do we receive our album?

Once you have chosen the images to be in the album, I personally design the pages and layout. Once this is done, I then send you a proof to check over and once you are 100% happy, I send the design to the album creators! This is usually completed within 3 – 4 weeks after you have chosen your images.
