I am delighted to share that I have been selected as one of 5 photographers to be on the UK judging panel for a fantastic photography competition, open to all.
This competition has been bought to you by Hotpoint and photographer Steve McCurry. The very lucky winner will be flown out to New York with their family to have a photoshoot with Steve McCurry.. for those of you who have not seen the amazing work of McCurry, here are some of his images:

McCurry’s a member of Magnum Photos, the most elite photography group in the world and has had work published in most major publications as well as photographs on the cover of National Geographic!
To enter the competition, all you have to do is upload a family portrait of yours to the website here: www.family.hotpoint.eu

The competition closes on October 10th, so hurry and get snapping your family portrait! The competition is open to all, don’t worry about technically perfect photos, but plenty of character and smiles!
Best of luck! x
Nina & Jim got married at the beautiful, and very intimate, church of St. Boulthams followed by a reception at the Charlotte House Hotel in Lincoln. I found it very hard to narrow down the selection of images for the blog, with over 400 to choose from; hope you enjoy these!

I have some quite exciting news!
About a month ago i was contacted by a great social media company who invited me to be part of an international photography competition. My initial thought was perhaps to take part as a contestant, but a couple of paragraphs in and i realised that wasnt quite the case.. I have been invited to be a judge (one of 5) for the competition.
Hotpoint (the kitchen appliances kind!) have teamed up with top photographer Steve McCurry to launch an online competition for snapshots of European families.
All families have until October 15th to submit their favourite family portrait at http://family.hotpoint.eu – the winning family will be flown to New York to have their photograph taken by Steve McCurry.
The top 100 pictures from each country will be whittled down to just 10 by us five judges. Then once we have got the final 10 selected, the overall winner will be chosen by Steve McCurry.
“In my portraits I try to express the vulnerable moment when the soul clearly appears, shown in the subject’s face. I like an image to tell a human story,” says Steve McCurry, “When I take photos of the families I meet, I try to convey the power of human relationships revealed by subtle clues on faces and in gestures and behaviors.”
Want to enter your family portrait? Simply go to http://family.hotpoint.eu and go to the ‘take part’ page!
Good luck!!

Ben & Emma got married at the Newlife church in Lincoln, a few weeks ago.
As you can see, they put in a lot of thought and effort into the decoration of both their church and the reception venue, a local village hall.
Enjoy!

A couple of months ago i blogged some images from the Status Quo gig, held at the Lincolnshire Showground. The status quo gig was the first part to the Midsummer Magic events, and this weekend saw the second part.
On the Saturday, the ‘Here and Now’ tour took place, with the very best of the 80s featuring Boy George, Jason Donovan, Belinda Carlisle, Curiosity Killed the Cat and The Real Thing. Unfortunately, i couldn’t make that particular evening as i had a wedding to shoot. I did manage to make it to the Sunday concert though, with (the extremely energetic) Jedward, Stacey Solomon and Bjorn Again.
